Specs
The Blackberry 4G Playbook features a gorgeous 7-inch display and an HD capable front camera for high quality video calling. The tablet runs the new QNX operating system on an Nividia Tegra 2 dual core 1ghz processor. The tablet also features 1 gig of ram and all the connectivity features needed in a modern tablet like Wifi and Bluetooth. Unlike the Wifi only Playbooks currently available the 4G Playbook will feature a Wiimax radio so you can take advantage of Sprint’s ever-growing 4G network. While many of the initial reviews for the Playbook were less than enthusiastic mostly due to the lack of software, it’s currently unknown if this tablet will ship with a later version. It is known that the 4G Playbook will also feature unlimited messaging at no extra cost.
Price and Availability
Sprint has been pretty tight lipped about the release date of the 4G Playbook but they have committed to having it out by the end of the year. Pricing is expected to be around $499 like its Wifi version but Sprint may offer up a discount in the form of a 2-year contract price.
